Born: 3 March 1876.
Family: The first child of Morris and Fanny Thomas of 13 Claypit Street, Whitchurch, Shropshire. He married Bertha Penn on 31 July 1915 and together they had 2 children – Brian and Wilfred.
Employment: At the age of 15 he was a telegraph messenger but was working as a gardener at the time he enlisted. In 1939 he owned a fish and chip business.
Residence: He lived with his parents in Claypit Street, Whitchurch until at least 1901. In 1939 he was living at 38 Littlemoor Lane, Doncaster, Yorkshire.
Died: 3 April 1949 aged 73.
