Born in Newhall, Aston, Nantwich, Cheshire in 1879, the son of Richard and Elizabeth Caulcott. Husband of Florence Elizabeth Caulcott (nee Hughes) and father to a daughter also called Florence Elizabeth. Frederick was a butcher by trade.
The inference from the UK Census records is that Frederick emigrated to Australia between 1901 and 1911 (his daughter was 2 at the time of the 1911 Census at which he was not present).
Frederick enlisted in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
