Born in Malpas, Cheshire in 1879 (baptised 2nd November 1879), the third son of John and Sarah Edge of Church Street, Malpas, Cheshire.
Husband of Ann Edge (nee Wain) (married in 1900) of 181 Stretford, near Urmston, Lancashire and father to Ann, John William and Edith.
The 1911 Census shows Leonard as a farm labourer.
Leonard was invalided home from France and died of his wounds in Sheffield.
