Born: In 1892 in Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire.

Family: He was the seventh of eight children of Bob Hiatt, a farm labourer, and his wife Elizabeth. He married Lizzie L Allen in 1916 in Whitchurch Shropshire and together they had 2 children, Robert A and Peter F, both born in Warwickshire.

Residence: The family was living in Great Wolford, Shipston on Stour and this is the address shown in the 1901 and 1911 censuses. The address shown in the 1919 Absent Voters’ Register is 45 Worthington Street, Whitchurch, Shropshire. The probate record shows him living in Evenlode, Worcestershire at the time of his death.

Employment: In 1911 he was a butcher’s assistant.

Died: 27 November 1929 in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire and buried there on 30 November the same year, aged 36.
