Thomas Frederick Cliff was born in Whitchurch in 1896. He was the second son of Thomas and Martha Cliff of 3a, Claypit Street Terrace, Whitchurch.
Thomas enlisted on the 21st September 1914, a member of the Church Lads Brigade.
