Born: 1 July 1877 in Penley, Flintshire, Wales.
Family: He was the second of six children born to Thomas Prodger, a carter, and his wife Elizabeth Prodger. He married Ellen Woodhall in 1907 and together they had four children – Hilda, Joseph, Norman and Donald.
Residence: In 1881 he was living with his parents and siblings at 3 Sandy Lane, Penley; by 1891 the family had moved to 5 Raven Yard, Watergate Street, Whitchurch, Shropshire. In 1911 he was living at 45 Egerton Street, Whitchurch where he continued to live until his death in 1940.
Died: In 1940 in Whitchurch, aged 63, and buried in Whitchurch cemetery on 10 October of the same year.
